Zhenming Tian is a mental health therapist in New York. She graduated from Columbia University in 2018 and is a licensed Master level Social Work (LMSW) from New York State. Her expertise covers mental health diagnoses and interventions. During her graduate work on anti human trafficking with attorneys in Brooklyn Human Trafficking Intervention Court, she published narrative “in the shallow” on The Asian Pacific Affairs Journal from Columbia University to reveal the infamous international human trafficking chain. She applied culture sensitive Trauma-Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on sex trafficking survivors, and initiated skill-based group therapy to help survivors adapt to the society. Zhenming Tian was also an advocate for GHAP program in Columbia University Health center. She provided sexual health counseling and HIV education for students and faculties in Columbia University.
