I am Yusuf Kavuma an ethical, integral and civic leader. I am an advocacy enthusiast with a track record of leading youth campaigns in my home district. Growing up in a rural district, I discovered my passion for advocacy, science, and engaging with communities. At 19 years, I launched my first community based organisation focusing on betterment of the standards of living of the youth and the general community population. My community based organisation has been able to organise guidance and counselling workshops, conflict resolution, environmental advocacy and financial literacy and support in Masaka and Kalungu districts.
With my works, I have received numerous awards and scholarships. I was selected to represent Uganda at the Baobab Summit in Accra Ghana in 2017, I won the best essay writer award at the Mastercard foundation leadership Congress 2018, I won the bess wash techproject at National Water and Sewarage corporation convention 2018 among others.
I grew up in a conflict torn family and society with reasons ranging from family wealth, community leadership and un monitored personal interests. I have held several leadership positions in my education career as Secretary writers club at olympio high school, health prefect, president swas club, coordinator sickle cell club of gombe secondary school among others.
I believe I am responsible for creating the positive change I want to see in my society.
