Yasser is the founder and president of the PetroNile Academy-(www.pn-academy.org), a nonprofit training platform in the oil and gas industry and the first-ever e-learning platform in Sudan. Through the academy, he helped to increase awareness about the sustainable development goals among students in Sudan.
Yasser believes that oil and gas contribute to sustainable development by providing energy, overcoming poverty, and managing the impacts of its operations by emphasizing environmental protection, health and safety, and human rights. He would like to continue with his volunteer-based organization to help equip students with technical knowledge, sharing networks, and volunteer opportunities to help them improve their professional and personal skills.
