My name is Umar. I am a student of BS-Software Engineering at the Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar, Pakistan. Being brought up in a family that has decade-long feuds and conflicts over lands and other domestic issues related to inheritance and property, peace was always a thing of luxury and dream for me. I have always coveted a peaceful and conflict-free home for me, my siblings, and my parents. I was a sensitive child and somehow I still am. I was always worried about the situations and things that hurt people in any part of the world. I would always be sad when I would watch the news and the television. I still remember writing letters to the UN as a child to help people in Kashmir, Palestine, and other parts of the world. As time passed by, I started participating in social work and volunteering in my school, college, and now in university. I realized and accepted that I can not change the world, but I can do my part by doing what I can in my capacity. I have participated in several social works and volunteered in others.

Following are some of my Social Achievements:

1. I used to teach English to school students in my village in the evening after my classes and school.
2. I had made a group in my village with the name WeVolunteers. We would collect and save money from our pocket money to buy shoes, books, and school bags for the poor children.
3. I would take part in the social gatherings in our village and teach the uneducated elderly about the new trends and other cultures across the globe through documentaries.
4. I was the campus ambassador of Young Intellects for two and a half years. During my tenure as an ambassador, I planned and organized different events, fundraising, and other social work activities.
5. I worked as an active member of the Cultural Society at our University for one year. I arranged different fundraising dinners for poor people.
6. I worked as a Volunteer for IM|Volunteer Society in our university. I took part in many plantation drives, food distribution drives, and other fundraising drives for Cancer patients who could not afford their treatments.
7. I have been an active member of the host team of the Hult Prize.
8. I am the General Secretary for the Hult Prize 2022.
9. I have worked as a Volunteer for the Lincoln Corner Pakistan, Peshawar.
10. Last but not least, I Co-founded a Startup in 2020 by the name Ray Media Group.
(our startup is not only providing services to the clients, but has already given skills, pieces of training, internships, and ultimately jobs to over two dozen students. I hope that I will Increase this number by 3x next year)
