Theophilus Quaicoe

Ghana

I am Mr. Theophilus Quaicoe. I am 24 years of age and I live in Takoradi, Western Region, Ghana. I am currently a final year student of Social Work, KNUST, Ghana. I am transparent, action and results-oriented, and a social justice pursuer to make the world a better place for the vulnerable in the society. I am greatly moved always by this statement from Nelson Mandela, “overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity; it is an act of justice”. This has always been my motivation and shapes my course to design mechanisms through empowerment, poverty alleviation, equity and social justice. I believe in brightening the future of Ghana through creative agripreneurship and entrepreneurship activities.I am multilingual (English, Spanish, French and other Ghanaian languages). I have worked under UN through Amnesty International to advance the rights of the vulnerable population through write for right campaign, legislative, group, citizen and individual advocacy, negotiation, dialogue and educative campaign through various social media platforms. I have also embarked on a project called “EMPOWERMENT THROUGH QUALITY AND EQUITABLE EDUCATION”, which aims at achieving the SDG 4: Quality and equitable education and SDG 10: Reducing inequalities, by promoting girl-child education to bridge the educational gap in the rural communities in Ghana.
