My name is Shreya Ghosh, a youth advocate, educator, and aspiring biological scientist from Bangladesh. Since childhood, I have been passionate about science and social change. Growing up in a society where menstruation and sex education were treated as taboo, I decided to speak up despite criticism and social barriers. I walked long distances to access the internet and learn more about health awareness so I could educate others.
Using my own resources and prize money, I conducted awareness programs in 44 villages on menstrual health, good touch and bad touch, and gender-based violence. I am also the Founder of “Shreya’s Learning Classroom,” where I provide free education to underprivileged students, and “Seeker of Lights,” which supports youth with extracurricular and life-skill guidance. Through leadership, advocacy, and education, I aim to create a world where knowledge, dignity, and opportunities are accessible to everyone.
