“Hi! I am Shivanjil. I belong from a small yet beautiful landlocked country called Nepal in southern Asia. I love actively participating in volunteering activities and gain a sense of completement when I forget myself for sake of serving others. I was enrolled as a civil engineer student in 2016 with my funds sponsored by Government of Nepal as per my merit. A year ago in 2020 I completed my bachelor and currently I am practicing my engineering knowledge in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. During my school life I was member of Nepal Scout, in my graduate days I was actively involved in clubs like Happy Club, Civil Engineering Student’s Society (CESS), Youth Thinkers Society and I was my department representative for my college.
Happy club was a nonpolitical organization which used to solve political dispute in my college premises. I received the best member award from the club for my unbiased devotion towards settling political dispute.
CESS is academic part of civil engineering of my college. I was given best member for my management of greatest “Vector” the largest technical expo held in the city which I coordinated.
Youth thinkers Society was a platform where youth were made to act as a country’s delegate and we in mass would discuss the problems and their apposite solution for each of the country.
Recently I was selected and completed a wisdom workshop organized by VCSP (Volunteer Community Surveyor Program) about “Promoting Tenure Security in Face of Legal, Institutional and Social Challenges” as well.
Apart from being involved in these as per my civil duty I love assisting the traffic department of our capital as a volunteer for ease flow of pedestrian and vehicle. I also mended several potholes around my native city, Bhairahawa with help of the city’s engineering wing collecting funds from various source without help from local government. I also organized a campaign where we collected old clothes from individual homes and distributed them to the poor. During this pandemic I with other engineer also built a sanitizer spraying machine which is placed in municipal office at my native city, Bhairahawa.”
