I am Shaqkeera Douglas, an aspiring Attorney, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist guided by many philosophies, chief among them being, “Write your vision and make it plain on tablets, that those who see it may run.” (Habbakuk 2:2)
Crime is no respector of nation, culture or people, therefore I am of the firm belief that Peace must be equally limitless. With this, among many other guiding thoughts, I continue to offer my service to the people of my country, helping it’s development in any way I can. I have served a part of many teams namely “Talk Up Yout,”Shashamane Sunrise, the National Youth Parliament of Jamaica and currently on the Youth Advisory Council of Jamaica, just to name a few. I aim to advance the agenda of Peace, both in my country and globally as we help the creation of a more peaceful world.
I am extremely passionate about the arts specifically singing, dancing, acting and writing. I see these as avenues of expression that not only contribute to personal development but has the potential to inspire others. I live by the principle that the key to becoming all that you can be and all you desire to be is to develop the SKILL of time management. The central link bringing together all that I do is the desire to see a better country and by extension a better world. I believe that this better lies in the development of our young people, who are the leaders of today. Each platform that I have been blessed to serve on, I hold that as my ultimate mission.
