Savannah is a self-starting activist from Athens, Alabama, in the USA.
From a young age, she was determined to break down gender
barriers in her community. She negotiated to be a Boy Scout and
volunteered at her church to mentor young girls as a way to
encourage female empowerment and challenge the narrative of living
life to become a wife. In her teen years, she started speaking against
systemic racism and took speaking against longstanding sexism to the
next level. Her sharp tongue gained her a reputation for being a
change agent and a bit of a headache to her conservative community.
For her advocacy, she received scholarships to Flagler College in St.
Augustine, Florida, and obtained her Bachelor’s in International
Studies and Diplomacy.
While attending University, she became a legal intern under the
Managing Attorney for St. Johns County Legal Aid. While being an
intern, she worked closely with the team of legal professionals to bring
justice to those wrongly convicted, wrongfully evicted and to provide
strong and fair representation for all in need. The experiences she had
further fueled her passion for establishing peace and justice
everywhere.
In her post-graduate life, Savannah continuously embeds political
issues in her daily small talk at her corporate job and takes every
opportunity to help someone in need. Her goal in doing this is to break down old, uninclusive ways of thinking and bring forth positive change.
Her overall mission through her advocacy is to spread a cosmopolitan mindset. She looks forward to her continued journey with the Global Peace Chain!
