I am a 23 year old young man with Mozambican nationality. Graduated in accounting from the Higher Institute of Accounting and Auditing in Mozambique.
I was born and raised in one of the peripheral neighborhoods of the city of Maputo (specifically in Maxaquene), where hunger shakes children and adults who live there, during my childhood and adolescence I also closely followed several stories of domestic violence within my family and other families in my community, this fact bothered me a lot.
I grew up with an enormous desire to make a difference for my family and the community in general, so I focused on my studies and graduated in accounting in 2016 from the Commercial Institute of Maputo. Since the year 2016 I have participated in several community works inside and outside my community (street cleaning activities, beach cleaning and collection of solid prayers) and recently I had the privilege of being appointed chairman of the strategy committee of the project powered by hope in response to Covid 19 – the project’s main objective is to raise funds and food and hygiene products to distribute among families living in remote neighborhoods and in precarious situations.
I have also worked as a speaker on the aforementioned project and as a volunteer teacher in a children’s literacy program.
In my church I always participate in the activities of distributing food to people living on the streets and orphaned children.
