I am CEO of the Engineers Without Borders Mekelle-Mekelle University, a chapter which works on providing appropriate technology and engineering solutions for societal problems. I am also a fellow at YALI RLC, staff and alumni coordinator of Engineering for Developing Communities (an international summer course where students from different parts of the world engage in hands on practice of engineering and sustainable community development study in Ethiopia and Israel). Currently I am involved in one drip irrigation project, improved oven and a research on the impact of lack of water on people who run small business related with water. I am demonstrating leadership by guiding and motivating volunteers, sometimes mentor students, I participate in career panels and inspire girls, Negotiate and discuss on projects especially the ones we work with international teams. I take the initiatives of volunteer works with friends and colleague.
