I am Rutendo Juliana Runi born 1987, went to High school at Chaplin where I was in the
debate club. I studied Business Administration at the University of the Western Cape with a
major in social development. I was the founder of Model United Nations club, for those efforts
was given an opportunity to attend the first ever model united nations organised by the United
Nations representing South Africa. 2010 I represented Algeria at a UN conference in Malaysia
on climate change. I attended another conference in Bonn Germany on youth development. I
had a desire to represent my country .I was invited to travel with the former President of
Zimbabwe to New York at the United Nations on a High Level presidential dialogue representing
the youth. The theme was promoting dialogue and mutual understanding. I then attended a
Model world trade organisation conference in Geneva. This invigorated an interest to study
trade. Currently, I have just completed my Masters in International trade Law. I am excited to be
part of this peace movement.
