I am Rebin N Ghafoor, I am a social worker and an activist person. Who has been working to make peace and assist others to live in peace as well as making it happen for myself. I’m a driven and outgoing kind hearted person from Kurdistan-Iraq and I have bachelor degree in social work. Now I am an immigrants lives in the united states of America and work as a social worker Case manager at one of the local agencies with homeless youth. In my life time I have experience and been through many difficulties but nothing could hold me from trying and moving forward. From a very small age I have experienced violence and assaults but I could make a door success to move forward in my life. I studied social work because it was my passion to help people especially those who have experienced violence and being abused and have trouble so I can make a difference in their lives. So in my last 6 years of working as social worker I worked as a social worker mediator, counselor, advocate and a case manager. During my work life I could work with a diverse population in crisis with children and women and juvenile who flees from domestic violence during the ISIS war. I supported families with refugees’ status in Kurdistan- Iraq. And I could get a chance to work as social worker at orphanage and retirement homes with elderly as well as working as a social worker in the court system at Family Peace Committee to reunite families together. And now I am working as a case manager at one of the local agencies here in the USA with group age range from 16-21 years old. Besides working as social worker, case manager, consoler, advocate and family mediator, I have worked as a librarian and dance instructor as well as a language tutor that I have enjoyed a lot and connected many different nationality and races together. I have published a book in 2012 and led many seminars as well as TV interviews. I have taken over hundreds of training and trained in many different ways so that to be able to present what I am doing o in a great ways.
