Reada Lemnusha was born in Albania in 1996. Since middle school, her favorite subject was Albanian
literature and during these years she participated in different writing competitions in Korca, the city
where she grew up. In 2010 she moved to Tirana, the capital of Albania, where she finished her high
school education in 2014 at ‘Qemal Stafa’ public high school. During this time she took her first writing
experience from being the editor in chief of the school’s newspaper as well as from other different social
activities.
After high school, Reada started her university studies at Polis University of Tirana, choosing Urban
Planning as her field of study. Urban Planning was her first choice because her biggest goal in life is to
help marginalized communities live in a more welcoming inclusive city. She is graduating this year and
she is currently writing a thesis in Master of Science with the topic ‘Inclusivity of Roman Communities in
Albania’.
During her years as a student, Reada started her career as a freelance writer, collaborating with several
Albanian magazines like Class Magazine, Jeta Magazine, PaFokus Independent Magazine, Daily Taste
Independent Youth magazine. At the same time, she assisted in different workshops and training
related to writing, such as ‘Travel Writing & PR Workshop’ held by Alex Crevar in Tirana. She dedicated
her writing skills to different environmental and leadership projects in her local community and beyond.
Being part of AIESEC Youth organization in Tirana was particularly influential in Reada’s connection with
people and motivated her to write different stories. She volunteered in this organization for two years
and concluded this experience by participating in the Global Volunteer Program in Krakow, Poland in
2017. During this time abroad she was working as an English Teacher.
Nowadays Reada is collaborating with international bloggers like The Balkanista in Albania. Meanwhile, she continues publishing her work in independent local youth magazines or blogs. Part of her formation
is also sport and starting from 2017, she is part of the International Taekwondo Team of Albania. She is bravely known for stepping out of her comfort zone to give herself the opportunity of learning and
exploring new things.
