Phillip Nyasha Fungurai is an independent democracy, peace and development researcher. He has extensive experience in peace, social justice and governance programmer designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. He works with research think tanks in Germany, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. He has published numerous articles, and discussion papers on the nexus between democracy and development, peace building, good governance and climate action. He previously worked for Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (German Institute for International and Security Affairs), Berlin, Germany; Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace, Mature, Zimbabwe and other think tanks and civic organizations in Zimbabwe and South Africa. His career objective is to become a holistic peace and development practitioner influential in designing, implementing and monitoring peace and development initiatives across the globe. Phillip Fungurai subscribes dearly to the principles of sustainable peace, dialogue, transparency, respect for human dignity and the common good.
