My name is Norah Kimathi, co-founder of Zerobionic, Africa’s first company building AI-powered humanoid robots that translate speech into real-time sign language. Our robots, with 92% gesture accuracy, enable deaf students to thrive in STEM education while reducing production costs by over 60% and repurposing 85% of materials from recycled plastic, tackling both educational exclusion and environmental waste.
Zerobionic is about more than technology is about equity, inclusion, and opportunity, which I believe are the true foundations of sustainable peace. Most conversations on peace focus on war, but real peace comes when people feel seen and included. By opening classrooms to deaf learners and creating green tech jobs for underrepresented communities, we foster social cohesion, economic opportunity, and empowerment the building blocks of lasting peace.
Recognized by NVIDIA, UNDP, KPMG, and the Global Learning Council, reflecting our commitment to peace building and social inclusion
