Salam and Hi!
It’s always challenging to provide a summary of one’s achievements and biography!
Still I’d like to take this exciting opportunity to introduce myself:
My experience involves ~ 12 years of expertise in working with local and International entities in the United Arab Emirates in areas of project management, volunteer Management (focus on emergency response volunteering and special Needs), youth development and leading on technological initiatives. My education and upbringing as a Sudanese national raised in the UAE and dealing with more than 120 nationalities living in harmony has contributed alot to my multicultural personality…when asked about my identity I best introduce my self as a World Citizen of both Arabic/African heritage. Also, living between UAE and USA & travelling to various countries has lead me to respect all cultures and widened my perspective to other cultures.
I had also developed my career in non-profit project management and focused on youth development after first starting my experience in the field of computer science.
I was privileged to engage with developing volunteer programs for youth and other community age categories in the UAE that holds a diverse nationality spectrum. During my work assignments I was honoured with the chance to lead a group of female volunteers to support a refugee field hospital in Jordan attending to refugees seeking medical support. Also, I was assigned the role of leading a volunteer registration process and system for recruiting ~20,000 volunteers during the Special Olympics World Games held in Abu Dhabi – UAE 2018-2019.
Furthermore, I believe that volunteering strengthen community bonding and fosters empathy among the society and thus I also aim to return back to my society through participating in volunteering initiatives such as developing a Youth report for identifying Sudanese youth priorities and their solutions and participating in other volunteering activities/bodies.
