Jiyaad is a Law and International Relations student with a background in Computer Science. He regularly raises awareness on pressing topics and issues both in Mauritius as well as internationally; for example, at the World Youth Forum in Egypt and the Global Peace Summit in Turkey. Jiyaad was part of the Youth Parliament of Mauritius and mentored the 2019 cohort of young Mauritian parliamentarians. He is a climate activist and has dedicated himself to advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Through his work, Jiyaad met with and suggested his ideas and solutions to local and global influential figures to achieve the 2030 global goals.
