Asad Hashmi is a Youth Activist born and raised in Pakistan. He has done his O’Levels and currently he is doing his LLB (Bachelors of Law) from University of London (UCL-The Institute of Legal Studies). He is a youth activist who is eager to help the community irrespective of the culture, race, religion, sex, gender and the circumstances. He has been an active member of the society, always working for the betterment of the people so that he can bring a positive change in this world.
Being an active youth member, he has been a part of END POLIO NOW team which is enabling Pakistan to eradicate polio under Rotaract Metropolitan Multan.
Asad is an active member of AIESEC which is helping him to polish his leadership skills. Asad has also been the Organizing Committee President for the National Emerging Leadership Conference ‘22 under AIESEC. It was the first of its kind of youth conference in Multan having more than 200 Youth Advocates around the country. He is also volunteering for teaching the transgender community in a local community based organization Wasaib Sanwaro, as he strongly believes everyone has a right to education and fair treatment.
Asad claims himself a feminist leader, which can be seen in him working for women rights within his country and he stands for the rights of women and transgenders whenever is needed
despite of society backlash. He openly support feminist agenda whether through social media or by the peaceful protests. He is part of various feminist movements like Aurat March, Progessive Student Collective, Transgender Empowerment Network etc
He has attended some Youth Conferences which include the National Youth Peace Festival 2021 organized by Chanan Development Association, Jessup is the world’s largest moot court competition, Peace Seminar – Wasaib Sanwaro as well as online webinars on Transgender Rights and Justice. He is also an active volunteer of Shaukat Khanum Cancer and Memorial Hospital Pakistan to give care and support to cancer patients.
He wants to pursue a higher education Bar at Law for Human Rights and justice . He wants to emerge as an global youth leader who has great visions to bring about the changes and let the world know the power of justice through actions.
