I am a highly motivated, ambitious, driven and optimistic young professional whose enthusiasm for youth development, capacity building, peace building and international advocacy is unparalleled. I have worked with various NGOs as a volunteer, First with Youth Empowerment Social Network(YES Network) organisation in my native country Zimbabwe, a youthful organisation that majored in poverty eradication by empowering the youths in tech. In this organisation, my role was to teach the youths in coding, robot building and tech skills training and evaluation. Under this organisation, we won the Southern African Development Association (SADC) green award for innovation in 2016. Professionally, I hold a bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechatronics, and I have three years experience under my belt as an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer with the Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC). Further to my role at ZPC, I also run Merptech, a status quo challenging tech start up that provides low cost tailor made automation systems for homes and industries. Pursuant to my passion for developing the youths in my country, I recently launched the “Thousand Miles Youth Empowerment Drive”, a program aimed at identifying youths with viable start up ideas and incubating them into viable business ventures. Due to my influence in the youth empowerment domain, I was invited as a speaker at the second annual Southern African Students and Youth Development Association (SASYDA) held in Gaborone, Botswana in December 2018. In December 2019, I was invited as an observer to the 8th All Africa Students Union Summit held in Rabat, Morocco. I also have several projects under my name which I have undertaken in my capacity as an E, C&I engineer.
