Motaz is an entrepreneur, business development specialist, SDGs Advocate, and social activist. He has a big passion for leadership and entrepreneurship training, highly motivated person and very interested in self-education. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Technology from the Future University in Sudan. Motaz has seven years of experience in the nonprofit sector, he is a Co-founder and Projects Manager at the Social Enterprise Development Organization (SEDO), and he also has an active membership in many organizations and societies such as Sudanese Knowledge Society (SKS), IEEE – Sudan Subsection, Sudan Network Operators Group (SDNOG), Internet Society (ISOC), and Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Network. While working as an SDGs Advocate at UNDP-Sudan, he helped raise the level of awareness about the sustainable development goals among his local community in Sudan. Previously, Motaz worked with a Nolwata Charity Association to help improve the health services, educational environment, and the economic situation of rural dwellers living in his hometown village in northern Sudan. Motaz has volunteered as a Technical Team Leader & Events Organizer at Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community (IEC), which is a national youth-driven NGO, to activate the entrepreneurial activity among Sudanese youth through raising awareness, organizing events, and holding workshops, this including the third Future Agro Challenge Sudan Competition in November 2017, and the fifth Global Entrepreneurship Week in November 2018. Through these experiences, he developed strong project coordination and implementation skills. Motaz enjoys focusing on the topics of entrepreneurial and social activities and has a strong passion for youth empowerment.
