I’m Momodou Barry, from The Gambia and i am a global citizen. I am the founder and CEO of a nonprofit organisation called Citizens of Earth – CoEarth (www.coearth.org)
I am a research scholar in Taiwan at Asia University focused on Artificial Intelligence.I have been to 27 countries.During my visit to some of these countries, i have worked with the youths of these wonderful nations.So i have experienced working with people from difference backgrounds and in a multi-cultural environment.
Back in The Gambia, i used to work with the Gambia Red Cross Society, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, Your Change for a Change.I am an activist back home who stands for equal rights and education, women empowerment, human rights and climate action.
I have a vast experience in working towards making the world a better place. In 2018, i raised Rs.16,000 from my university while in India to support the people of Kerala from both staffs and students.In the past few years, i have organised workshops on water management, climate change, global citizens, women empowerment and Drug Abuse.I have also organized campaigns about cleaning the community and planing trees.
I am currently a Global Goodwill Ambassador in Global Goodwill Ambassador, a Peace Ambassador at the Khan Inspiring creativity Project, an Amnesty Decoder at Amnesty international UK, an official Ambassador of the University of the People and a country director of the Refugee international Network for Peace.
