We are an Oscar winner, whose story of grit and determination has inspired many women to address and fight-off taboos plaguing their life and the society they live in. One of the examples is “Mavayna Manav (Mansi)”, she is working with team oscar winning documentary “period.end of sentence” since last three years. Mavayna is very young and hardworking. She had won so many Prestigious Awards for Sustainable Development Goal’s SDG’s, She is state secretary for National Child and Woman development council. She had been appointed as the MHM Ambassador for Gramalaya & Carevanta Foundation & “She is recently appointed state Chairperson-Youth wing for National Human rights and humanitarian federation”. also appointed ambassador for India of my Body is my Body Child abuse prevention program and she is an under graduation student at the Delhi University. She is so strong from inside out and have very great energy for working for the women and children out there. She is very keen of having different opportunities and to tackle them in a positive and a learning way. Mavayna is an unstoppable force mentored by the oscar woman herself. Like every other woman who emerged as a winner, Oscar woman life has been through several ups and downs. She had to fight misogyny, stereotypes, and cognitive dissonance to get where she is today. Her life is an example that when life throws lemons at you, better make some lemonades!

Mavayna firmly believes in passing the torch of self-awareness and self-love through positive and encouraging talks on female health and menstrual hygiene. Along with Team “Period.end of Sentence” Mavayna conceptualized the idea of PADYATRA- world’s first and longest Journey of this kind. PADYATRA aims at mainstreaming the talk on menstrual hygiene among women and girls from weaker economic sections of the society.

With PADYATRA, Mavayna sincerely hopes youth across the regional and lingual divides would join their mission- remove the taboo surrounding periods and encourage open talks on feminine hygiene.
