I am Mary Srapyan. I currently work in Youth Opportunities Club NGO and volunteer in the Cultural Department. We monitor many different projects, organize training and informative seminars providing the youth of Armenia with various opportunities and valuable information. The overall goal of our organization is to provide the Youth of Armenia with relevant and practical knowledge in the fields of business, marketing, sales, and many other sectors.
I study at Yerevan State University. I am a fourth-year student in the faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, in the department of English for Cross-cultural communication.
For over seven months I held an Internship at COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) as a translator (from English to Armenian and vice versa). It was a great experience for me. My core responsibilities were to do translations from Armenian into English and vice versa. During this period I have managed to meet all the deadlines and to provide a quality job. Youth work is the field where you find your talents. I am a responsible and a very hard working person. Youth work helped me uncover my talents. Languages are my passion and I am fond of communication and new acquaintances. I have excellent communication and writing skills.
During summer I held an internship in the Ministry of Diaspora, in the department of law. During my internship I translated documents, and produced results within deadlines. We got acquainted with the past and the upcoming projects of the Ministry which develops and implements potential pan-Armenian programs for developing the Armenia-Diaspora partnership and raising the reputation of Armenia. Different initiatives and suggestions were made related to strengthening the relations between Armenia and the Diaspora, development of partnership between non-governmental organizations. During our discussions we prioritized the preservation of Armenian identity and the identification of potential of the Diaspora. During the period we provided the department with translations and other relevant assignments.
