My name is Martyna Grabias and I am 20 years old young woman from Poland. Currently I am enrolled at the University of Warsaw – I am studying International Relations and in the future I aim to be a diplomat specialised in East Africa. Since I was a little girl I was taugh that the values of diversity and human rights are very important – I am very thankful that my parents taught me that at a very young age. I graduated from music school in which I could experience a wide range of different people. In the junior high school I started to get more into helping to obtain human rights, diversity and prevent better education for different parts of the world in more formal way – I have started to interest more into politics and diplomacy. Due to that in 2016 I was invited to take part in the session of youth parliament in Poland, than to be a delegate at POZMUN 2017 conference and co-organise it in 2018. Since 2016 I am also an active volunteer in worldwide organisation – Young Life International. Since 2019 I am a scholarshiped student there – I can spread the good message about human rights and preserving the diversity by working with youth which really gives me hope. Thanks to my volunteer work I was able to go to different places to serve others, learn a lot and also show them that diversity and respect is beautiful – that encourages me to do even more in those areas. Lately I’ve spent 2 months in Tanzania in educating young girls in schoolwork and their rights as well. I have established long-lasting cooperation and I am creating a sponsorship program for young talented woman in Tanzania. I really feel that I can change the world. Most of my life I was travelling through the world to help others – on my own or with organisations like Young Life. I am relaly passionate about making those two in the future. The travels taught me that we can really change the world – we just need the courage and strengh to cope with all the bad things on the Earth, but I believe that WE ARE THE CHANGE, and we can really make this world a better place for everyone. We just need adequate skills and everyone who wants can learn them!
