“My love for public speaking began when there was the introduction of youth leadership programs in my city. I realized the impact I had on people and how much of an influence you could have with just having a voice. Since then I enrolled and began actively training in effective communication. I eventually went on to speak competitively in debates and was awarded the kingdom champion trophy during my senior year. I still believe that dialogue is the most crucial element in negotiations of all level.
My parents always pushed me and my siblings towards sports, and I began developing an interest towards table tennis from an early age. My parents encouraged this by enrolling me in the highest degree of training they could find. Even if it meant leaving the comfort of home and going back to India, I trained almost a year there with India’s finest coaches, there, I developed my confidence as a player, as well learnt the value of discipline. I consistently represented my school in inter school tournaments and finally played at the highest level, against India’s finest in the national level tournament. I still continue to play for my university team.
I chose to pursue architecture despite the popular trend of engineers and doctors because of its artistic freedom. My consistent subconscious effort to leave a mark drew me towards the ancient sculptures and monuments left behind by forgotten emperors. I developed a keen admiration for Islamic architecture. It has a magical madness to it that made each masterpiece of a building look like a spring in the desert. The works of ibn sinan, le corbuseir, zaha hadid make me spell bound.”
