Malek ABUALFAILAT is a practitioner, researcher, entrepreneur and consultant in the field of Water Security, and Climate Security. He received his MSc. degree in Water and Environmental Sciences from Birzeit University. Since then Mr. Abualfailat has served in leading technical positions in various projects in the areas of infrastructure development, including water, climate change, and solid waste management, and has worked on various tasks concerning institutional capacity building and policy advisory support.

As a co-founder of Mediterranean Youth Climate Network (MYCN) Mr. Abualfailat has success to improve the youth voice among the international climate change community and bring the development opportunities as he has sufficient experience in establishing green start-ups for entrepreneurs as he currently leading the Innovation and Entrepreneur Council for the US Consulate General in Jerusalem, also he has long experience in private sector development in relevant to high education institutions, specifically in establishing new SMEs in WASH sector.
