Lynn Malkawi is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and holds a BSc and an MBA in Business Administration. Lynn has worked in the USA in the private sector in the fields of insurance, and financial services in multiple Fortune 500 companies and transitioned to working in social development. Her work in Social development focuses on youth and community empowerment where she held multiple positions in the sector such as Project Manager , Regional Coordinator, M&E Officer and Knowledge Officer. Lynn has founded several community led initiatives of her own. Lynn she is also is also an OPED writer and her writings focus on political, economic, and social issues in Jordan. Lynn completed an Executive Education program at Harvard University titled Leadership, Organizing and Action- Leading Change. Lynn is currently the Founder and Director or the NGO Wasel which aims at its core to bridge the gap between youth and adolescents in different parts of Amman and the municipalities, youth of different geographical and socio-economic backgrounds through its civic engagement programs.
Lynn has represented Jordan in several international conferences including the International Conference on Cohesive Societies where she presented to the President of Singapore Madam Halima Yacoub the role Jordan plays in creating cohesive communities in the country.
Lynn won the Goolsby Leadership Academy Distinguished Alumni at The University of Texas at Arlington in the year 2019.
In 2019, Lynn has been chosen as a delegate and enterprise for peace scholar at by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the 2019 One Young World conference
