My name is Liso Zenani, a Law student at Nelson Mandela University. I am an avid reader, writer and debater. I enjoy working with people, engaging their views and fighting for what I believe. I love speaking on behalf of those who cannot otherwise speak for themselves. I am also very achievement-driven and always strive to be the best, kindest and most helpful that I can be. My debating background helped me adopt a very liberal and tolerant view on the world. I value freedom, independent-thinking, self-actualization and the upliftment of others. I have a propensity for analysis, critical-thinking, problem-solving, group-work and leadership. In 2012, I joined the Dignity Club, an N.P.O dedicated to promoting equality and human dignity across the globe. Programmes included orphanage-volunteering, soup-kitchens, planting vegetable gardens for local pre-schools and the likes. Around the same time, I became involved as an Instructor in the Pathfinder Club (a scouting club governed by the local church), and my duty was to instruct the scouts in survival skills and community-service. Serving in these clubs awakened me to the moral and humanitarian duty I owe to those around me. I thus determine to always dedicate as much time and resources as I can to the upliftment of my community.
