My name is Lamiss Barkia and I am a high school student and during my life, I chose to be an active member of the society. Indeed, I have been the general secretary of an Interact club for 2 years, I was also a founder of a Leo club and a volunteer with Inno Peace. Indeed I helped them organize Human Libraries in our school. These activities took most of my time and I gave them parts of my soul until helping became my favorite activity and volunteering my hobby. After this amazing experience, I was eligible for a scholarship with the prestigious YES Program and I spent one year in the USA as a culture ambassador. I was chosen during that year as an exemplary exchange student by my Placement Organization YFU and I also received a certificate from the US Department of States for achieving over 100 hours of volunteering even with the pandemic. In fact, I did help in school events, in sport events, food pantries and many other places, and that’s how I was able to gain many skills and improve myself. So, yes I was giving my time and my energy but at the same time I was receiving a priceless experience
