My name is Kuol Arou Kuol , a South Sudanese living in Uganda as a refugee. I am a co-founder of the refugee youth late organization called the Shabab peace and Environment Action Group (SPEAK) that foster peaceful co-existence between the refugees and their host and among the refugees themselves. I am a fellow at the African changemakers fellowship, the Young African Leaders Initiative and the Peacebuilding Institute in Rwanda. I have been facilitating dialogues and peace retreats for close to two years now with the Unyoke foundation, a South African based Peacebuilding organization. As a former child soldier, I commit my time and energy to the work of peace so that the generation of my children does not end up in my horrible experiences.
