Kenty Nkamicaniye

Burundi

Kenty Nkamicaniye, a native of Burundi, emerged into the world during a tumultuous period known locally as the Political Crisis of 1997. Raised amidst the vibrant streets of Bujumbura, the capital city of Burundi, Kenty’s journey through education led him to the prestigious halls of the University of Burundi, specifically the Institute for Applied Pedagogy.

Driven by a profound sense of purpose, Kenty has taken on the mantle of leadership in Burundi, spearheading the International Christian Youth works (ICY) movement. However, his vision extends far beyond national borders. In his quest to foster peace and prosperity across Africa, he has founded the African Youth Fellowship, aligning its mission with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set forth by the United Nations.

With a strategic focus on SDGs 1, 2, 4, 5, 14, and 16, Kenty aims to cultivate a generation of African youth grounded in integrity and empowered with the tools to shape a brighter future. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, he envisions a continent where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute positively to society.
