Kashar Daniel is a Saint Lucian born on 17th May, 1990 and resides in the Community of Dennery. She is Employed the Ministry of Health and is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Marketing. She serves as the president of the Dennery Community Enhancement Committee (DCEC), a Community Based Organization, that focuses and youth development as a means of reducing crime and violence.
While following her entrepreneurial passion with a small business in her community, Ms. Daniel became more aware of the challenges that the youth of Dennery was facing. After four years in business, she decided to cease her operations and use her time and efforts to give back to the community. With passion, integrity and an outstretched hand, she dived into a life of volunteerism and began to develop strategies to rebuild and empower those around her.
With the help of her DCEC team, Ms. Daniel successfully launched the Youth Empowerment Strategy (YES) program which is geared at building the capacity of youth and equip them with various skills that would enable them to become gainfully employed.
When she is not glued to her course material, Kashar is spending her free time helping her parents on their banana plantation, researching the industry, diversification options or learning how to fish. Her goal is to gain additional knowledge to assist the young people in forging a brighter future for themselves.
