Joshua Dilawar is a young activist from Lahore, Pakistan. He started social activism – voluntarily when he was in school. He is passionate about conducting theater performances and interactive sessions to train youth on Human Rights, Peace, HIV/AIDs prevention, Family Planning, Gender Equality, child and adolescent health, and SRH rights. He has been performing and training theater since 2012. Mr. Joshua is engaged with a few organizations including Idara-E-Taleem-O-Aagahi (ITA), Institute for Social and Youth Development (ISYD), Pakistan Youth Coalition for Population (PYCP), Beydaar Society etc. He’s also a National Coordinator of Live Now Campaign in Pakistan. He’s very passionate and responsible for projects based on capacity- building, health awareness, advocacy, youth development, SRHR, LSBE, Family Planning, sustainable development, and creating spaces for meaningful youth engagement. He’s very keen to work for adolescents and youth. He has represented Pakistan at several national and international conferences. He believes that he has chosen to become the voice of voiceless people.

As an advocate, Joshua is proud to have received The Most Active Volunteer Award 2015 by UNDP – Pakistan, Youth Icon Award 2016 by SHED, The 120 Under 40 – Bill and Melinda Gates Institute’s Family Planning Leadership Award 2017, Women Deliver Young Leader’s Award 2018, 2018 Youth Champion of Asia Safe Abortion Partnership (ASAP) and SPEAK Champion 2019 Award by CIVICUS.
