Jomel E. Salceda finished his bachelor degree at Occidental Mindoro State College. He took Bachelor in Elementary Education. After finishing college and passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers, he served as a private school teacher at Early Skills Learning Center, for two years. and currently holds a Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Management at Philippine College of Health Sciences. He currently Teacher III at Talapa Elementary School as a Multi-Grade teacher.
He published articles in ARTPROF Magazine some of these are Buhay Guro sa Baybay Dagat and Munting Pangarap. He received an awards such as Best Article of the Year Awardee (2018), Gawad Panulat Awardee (2018) and Natatanging Guro ng Bayan Awardee (2018) given by Pambansang Samahan ng mga Guro na Nagpapahalaga sa Wika at Kultura Inc. and Institute of Continuing Professional Growth and Development CO, Outstanding Writer of the Year (2019) and Outstanding Teacher of the Year (2019) given by Instabright Publication.
He also a winner of various contests such as Short Story Writing and Poem writing. He is also a Vice President of the newly installed Occidental Mindoro MAPSA Lions Club International and a Founder and Chairman of Katutubo Outreach Mission.
