My name is Ambassador John Nelson Hadji, a proud Liberian born on February 26, 1994, in Vahun Town, Lofa County. I am a passionate communicator, journalist, educator, and project management professional with a deep commitment to peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and national transformation through media, education, and community engagement.
Currently, I serve as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Parrot News Network (PNN), a hybrid media institution that integrates online journalism, radio broadcasting, and community-based reporting. Through this initiative, I provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and partnership coordination. Under my guidance, PNN has grown into a credible platform for
civic engagement, youth advocacy, and community development, amplifying voices that promote good governance and social accountability.
In addition to my media leadership, I also serve as the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the UNIDO Youth Raising Project in Sinoe County. In this capacity, I design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks, collect and analyze project data, and prepare comprehensive reports for government and donor stakeholders. My work helps ensure accountability, transparency, and measurable outcomes in the implementation of Liberia’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs. Alongside my development and media work, I am an educator at the Sinoe Multilateral High School, where I teach Literature and Computer Science. I am passionate about using education as a tool for empowerment. My teaching
approach focuses on creativity, digital literacy, and critical thinking, preparing students to be innovative and responsible citizens. Beyond the classroom, I mentor student journalism clubs and organize digital literacy campaigns that promote responsible use of technology and intellectual growth.
My professional journey began in Sierra Leone, where I served as News Director at Radio Sermon on the Mount, overseeing newsroom operations and mentoring young journalists. I later worked as Communications Manager for Paramount Pest & Disease Eradication Management in Monrovia, where I led public awareness campaigns and community outreach programs in partnership with civic authorities. These early experiences strengthened my communication skills, leadership capacity, and commitment to public service.
As Chief Editor and Talk Show Host at Voice of Sinoe Community Radio, I continue to engage the public through civic education, governance discussions, and investigative programming. I have hosted various dialogues involving community leaders, policymakers, and citizens, promoting accountability and peacebuilding through informed conversations.
Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and Journalism from Hill City University, Liberia, where my studies focused on media ethics, public relations, and development communication. I also earned a Certificate in Basics of Project Management from the International Business Management Institute (IBMI) in Berlin, Germany, and a Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism from Every Nation College, Sierra Leone. Beyond my professional and academic engagements, I have been actively involved in community service, youth leadership, and civic engagement. I have organized peace dialogues, youth leadership forums, and advocacy programs aimed at fostering social cohesion and empowerment among young people.
Fluent in English and conversant in Mende and Gbandi, I am able to communicate effectively across cultures and communities—a vital skill forpeacebuilding and inclusive leadership. Throughout my journey, I have remained committed to leadership, service, and positive change. I am deeply inspired by the mission of Global Peace Chain, which aligns perfectly with my passion for dialogue, unity, and transformative leadership. As a candidate for the position of Country Director (Liberia), I am eager to contribute my experience in communication, education, and project management toward advancing the organization’s vision of a peaceful and globally connected society. My life’s work reflects a single belief—that peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the presence of understanding, compassion, and collaboration. This belief continues to guide every step of my professional and personal journey
