Jazmin del Pilar Oropeza Luza, Social Communicator, political and social activist, teacher of oratory and leadership is 27 years old, was born in Lima, Peru.
From an early age she became interested in the politics of her country and being an agent of change for her community. That is why in 2007 she was elected as a school mayor and represented at the district level to go to conferences and workshops in the Congress of the Republic to take the voice of the students.
She actively participated as a volunteer and activist in various civil society organizations, including: Economy for the Common Good, International IDEA, Unesco, etc.
In 2015 she joined the Todos por el Peru Party led by Julio Guzmán, being one of the first young leaders of her district, in which she helped in the presidential campaign, being elected leader of the young purple of San Juan de Lurigancho in this way she contributed in making a change of policy in her country.
In 2016, he attended the international meeting of youth leaders and social activists-jas16-an event held in Cali, Colombia, representing Peru in the area of “Communication Science and Technology”.
She was elected Youth Ambassador of Peace in the country of Colombia by the Organization of Friends of Unesco, carrying out social volunteer work and dictating conferences on the 2030 agenda (Especially the ODS 4 Quality Education)
I help in the “Sheltering Hearts” campaign which took more than 10 tons of aid to the Peruvian areas affected by the extreme cold.
In the year 2017 I founded the Jallalla Latin America movement which is an organization led by young people, making it easier for citizens to move from being beneficiaries to agents of change and even to decision makers in their community. In this order of ideas they develop workshops, conferences and medium-term programs where citizens can learn, get tools to empower themselves as citizens, connect and engage others in their communities making them sustainable, they also do events on the 2030 Agenda. Jallalla is a scream of war, is a Quechua-Aymara word that unites the concepts of hope, celebration and bliss, the idea that with perseverance we can achieve our dreams!
In 2017, with their Organization, they held the “Ella” International event in Peru, which brought together young women from different parties and organizations where dialogues were held on the search for the promotion of equal opportunities for women’s full and effective political participation. at all levels of decision making, creating spaces to talk about strengthening collective leadership and diversity of women’s voices.
In 2018, the OEA project and the Young Documentary Network were elected to be part of the network of political actors of the Americas.
She attended as a speaker at the International Encounter She which gathers thousands of women leaders to empower them, there she gave the course of feminist oratory.
He participated as a speaker in several international events teaching oratory, rights, agenda 2030, feminism, among others
He has followed different National and International Courses on Human Rights, Gender Violence, skills for Youth Participation, Citizenship and Democracy and Leadership, Agenda 2030, etc.
She is currently National Director of Peru Lima of the World Organization of Democracy for Development
