“I am Janet Quansah, a graduate of Economics and Finance from the University of Ghana. My friends say I am tenacious, my colleagues say I am persevering, but I love to say, each moment we spend serving humanity is spent well. Knowing that leadership is service, I was elected the class representative from 100 to 300 level, being an advocate for my colleagues while piloting the liaison between my classmates and the lecturers to ensure a smooth administration.

I was also the SRC deputy academic committee head where I was committed to the academic excellence of the members of my constitutence. Competitions are always the test of wit and grit, and for me, they were exciting experiences. From being the first runner-up at the students enterpreneurs’ award in the University to winning the Afcon contest thanks to my sterling article written on climate change, I have learnt that the more we learn, the more we become better custodian of knowledge

I was part of my school’s Basketball, Handball and Football teams in High School( Wesley Girls’ High School ) Cape Coast, Ghana .
I was a member of the Cadet Corps in High School and also served as a form leader in our final year in form 3.
I enjoy helping people and giving back to the community so I go to my hometown every vacation to teach the JHS students at Ihya au Deen basic school. During vacation, I also mobilize friends to raise funds that we take to orphanages where we get them basic food and clothing, in a bid to eradicate poverty in our own way.

At leisure, I love reading, writing and adding value to people with my skills and abilities.”
