Ivan Otieno is a Community Development Practitioner and Project Management Enthusiast. He pursued BSc. in Community Development at Egerton University and currently completing Masters in Project Planning and Management from The University of Nairobi. Currently, he is the founder and CEO of Collarosta Technologies and Crafts, a social enterprise that deals in appropriate technology for communities with a broad objective of creating livelihoods and environmental conservation. He is also a co-founder at Radava Mercantile, an agri-fintech startup that provides an agricultural commodity exchange, alternative financing and post-harvest technologies to smallholder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa.
He has volunteered at Lake Victoria Environmental Management Project II Kenya as a community development intern. Adding on, he got selected for the Youth Leadership Program and worked as a program facilitator at Digital Opportunity Trust Kenya. He has worked with Innovations for Poverty Action Kenya as a field officer in the Universal Basic Income Project and the Youth Entrepreneurship Project. He is a YALI Alumni Cohort 32, a 2020 World Literacy Foundation Ambassador, a Kenya Leadership and Accountability Lab 2020-2021 Program Fellow, a member of the Rotary Club of Kericho, a JASIRI fellow, and a 2022 Catapult Inclusion Africa Fellowship Participant. Lastly, he is good at projects, research, and social entrepreneurship.
