Under the overall guidance of the WHO Representative to Myanmar, and direct supervision of the Scientist (Malaria Control), and in close collaboration with the National Malaria Control Program, the incumbent performs the following duties:
1. Encode data from each health facility within the State/Region assigned using the database developed by WHO and the Vector Bone Disease Control (VBDC) Program. Check for completeness and accuracy of data and inform State/ Regional Assistant Director (Malaria)/ Team Leader and the WHO Malaria Field Project Coordinator assigned at State/Region for any discrepancy.
2. Ensure the integrity of data. Make back-up files per standard operating procedures to be provided jointly by National Malaria Control Programme and WHO Malaria Team in Yangon.
3. Submit monthly activity report and end of assignment report to WHO Malaria Team with copy to Deputy Director (Malaria) DOPH. The report shall in a format and substance that will be outlined by WHO Malaria Team.
4. The incumbent will be closely coordinate with WHO Scientist (Malaria Control) to receive timely technical guidance to support the National Malaria Control Programme.
5. The incumbent will directly report to the State/Regional Assistant Director (Malaria) and/or VBDC Team Leader.
6. The incumbent will take concurrence of the Deputy Director (Malaria) of DOPH or any authorized officer for any leave(s) and official domestic travel(s) and get necessary approval with the WHO Malaria Team.
7. The incumbent will submit a monthly work and travel plan and activity report or any other report as required to Deputy Director (Malaria) of DOPH and WHO Scientist (Malaria Control).
8. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
