My name is Hani Asad and I am Director Program, Action for Environment (AfE) in Somalia. Throughout my career, I have been committed to increasing environmental protection, climate justice and community resiliency, with heightened attention on not leaving behind the most vulnerable – particularly women, youth and people living with a disability in action on the climate.
For the last few years, I have led and supported efforts that integrate policy advocacy, grassroots mobilization and capacity building — most recently through the African Activists for Climate Justice (AACJ) program. I work in bridging the gap between my local communities and national or international arenas, to raise their voices and contribute with climate policies that are actually based on real lives.
I consider myself not only an environmentalist but a bridge.ADMINISTRATION AND CLASSROOM VISITSION all its forms and plagued every country in which it has manifested, across all economic classes.
