My name is Gulnaz and I have been working as an English teacher since 2005. So, I have 14 teaching experience. In 2010 I visited to USA by GCE program (Global Connection Exchange)for 3 three weeks.
After that I I had an opportunity to work as an ACCESS teacher and I am still working as an Access teacher. My goal is to give students education, teach them English and motivate them to learn how to be a leader.
2017 I applied a small grant project and won $5000 and built a greenhouse at the yard of Isanov Boarding School. My goal was to provide dormitory students with healthy food. At this dormitory school we have about 200 students and 80% of them are children from low-in-come families or from single parent family. My project was very successful and sustainable. USA Embassy Ambassador visited our greenhouse and we still grow there tomatoes and cucumbers.
Besides that children are learning greenhouse skills about how to look after plants.
Also many students’ parents are economic migrant workers, living and working abroad while the children study here.
As you can see, many of our students have no other caretakers outside of our school. We are trusted with the health and well-being of these students, and are responsible for them full-time, both inside and outside the classroom. The most of the children who live in dormitory they are neglected children.
My second project is Access program and currently we are teaching 30 students for free.
