First of all, I want to write about myself. I received my bachelor’s degree (2015 – 2019) at Azerbaijan State Economic University (UNEC) in the field of Economy of the SABAH Groups faculty. “SABAH Groups’’ faculty which was established by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic in order to instruct intelligent, skillful and prepared students. Besides my studies at UNEC, I was trying my best to be helpful to society by volunteering in diverse organizations. I was actively volunteering at Sabunchu Youth House as the Head of Intellectual club, where I was leading a team of young and passionate individuals to create an valuable environment at different higher education institutions and integrate students into our club. It was one of the breakthrough moments when I realized how much I love guiding people to do something of value for society, which is something I am still carrying with me during my professional career. I have participated in “Enhancing Research Culture in Azerbaijan” program funded by the U.S. Embassy and implemented by ADA University during February-May 2022. The project is aim to support and encourage project beneficiaries to produce high-impact academic papers in the field of social sciences and helps to be publicized at international and national workshops and conferences, as well as policy papers to provide decision-makers with an overview of an issue or problem, targeted analysis, and actionable recommendations. I was eager to learn volunteering projects and social entrepreneurship. For this reason I participated in Erasmus+ Training course in Georgia in 2022. This is a one-stage Training Course aiming to convey wisdom and knowledge of agriculture and social entrepreneurship here I understood the role of sustainable development, social entrepreneurship and ecological life. I improved my capacity, skills and proficiency by using non-formal education. I expand my knowledge about many ways to increase awareness of community about social entrepreneurship and cultural tolerance in a multicultural environment, diversity of rural communities. In addition I learned many opportunities funded by NGOs and Government which can help to people to start their own social entrepreneurship. In 2022 I became a part of the “Youth@Work: Connecting the Dots “Employability through European Solidarity Corps” Forum” held in Istanbul, here I met many motivated young people and exchanged useful ideas with them and discussed future cooperation. I shared my experience about how volunteering can help to get hiring and know-how on improving employability and social entrepreneurship competencies of young people. I increased my competencies, cooperation and networking among organizations in order to foster employability skills and social entrepreneurship. I am also Young European Ambassador (YEAs). The YEAs initiative was created by the European Union in 2016 and has involved more than a thousand young people to date. There are currently 500+ active YEAs representing over 34 different nationalities. Here our aim is to raise awareness about the EU’s cooperation with its Eastern partner countries, showcase the tangible results of this cooperation, contribute to policy dialogue on various topics, help increase civic activism and work together for a better future. I am one of 15 young people who have been selected from Azerbaijan for the EU4Youth Alumni Network. The Network brings together brings together young graduates of EU-supported projects in order to sustain and mobilize their enthusiasm and voluntary spirit. At the beginning of this year, we had an IdeaLab meeting in Tbilisi. Here, in order to successfully implement our program, we took part in trainings on project management, conflict management, project development, essentials of non-formal education. It’s an excellent opportunity to experience youth work in practice and to work with disadvantaged young people. Here I am working with 20 young people (10 of them are from disadvantaged group and 10 of them are student). After identifying their main needs and interests in the initial meetings, now I am implementing the program I have prepared for them. I will do my best to enhance their soft skills, develop their digital skills and ensure their accessibility to opportunities within 1 year. I will develop my competences and gain more experience in working with young people. This is a priceless opportunity which I will learn how to apply participatory tools for community-needs analyses, be involved in the design of community-support activities with young people and exercise their active citizenship. I am currently working as a strategy specialist in the public sector, which encourages my active participation in all processes.
