George is an expert on youth activation, participation, and community development.
in 2018 George was awarded the Chevening Scholarship from the British Government. so he moved to the United Kingdom to pursue his master’s degree in Global Health and Social Justice at King’s College London.
Before moving to the UK, George worked intensively on community development and peacebuilding in Syria. therefore he was able to motivate and activate many Syrian youths and empowered them to become development agents and peace catalysts in their local communities. promoting the importance of Youth participation in Peace Building in Syria, encouraging them to make the most out of the resolution 2250.
In 2015, George founded “Linked” a local organisation in Damascus Suburbs working towards the vision of a “World linked by humanity”, and in 2016 he co-founded the “Peace Makers”, a Syrian national organisation working to build Syrian youth capacities to activate their roles as active citizens.
George works toward the vision of “a Healthier more just, more democratic world, in which people have freedom and hold equal access to proper essential services.”
