I am an academic and research consultant in the field of international relations; with a focus on comparative policy making, capacity and institution building and governance in Caribbean Small Island Developing States and Territories. I hold a Bsc. in Public Sector Management, Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations, Msc. in Global Studies and PhD. in International Relations. Over the past eight (8) years, I have served in management and leadership roles both regionally and internationally, inter alia; as Administrative Manager at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services, the Dean of Academics at the University of St. Martin and the Supervisory Committee of Eastern Credit Union. I currently serve on the Board of the Accreditation Agency of Curaçao, the Editorial Board for the Island Studies Journal and the Board of Directors for Solar Head of State-an international NGO which focuses on sustainability and renewable energy. My keen interest in contributing to the political economy of development in small island territories, is reflected in my advocacy and engagement in the public domain, in addition to publications which include topics such as; resilience, capacity building, good governance and diversification for sustainable development.
