Gemmalyn Quintana grew up in the Philippines. Her role model growing up is her grandfather, who dedicated his life to service to the people.
She is an undergraduate student whose study focus on international politics, international relations and peace. She is a member of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative. Her passion for diplomacy and international cooperation and peace, allowed her to attend several international conferences such as Model United Nations of the Far West and ASEAN Youth Students Dialogue Competition, which she won the Slanczka Achievement Award, Honourable Mention, Two Best Delegation Award and a Character-On-Point Certificate.
Ms. Quintana spent her internship in the Embassy of Mexico in the Philippines, where she participated in research on Manila-Acapulco Galleon Trade, regional cooperation, diplomatic relations between Mexico and Philippines, and international aid.
She is currently working on her thesis, which focus on Infectious Disease Act in Brunei Darussalam.
