I was lost. I’d could spent morning hours and afternoons giving all I have to get something to eat. sounds common ?Yes. Our society have turned their eyes off from harassments against children and few pay attention to back up their education. I was not an exception to the trend. Just one mile away from my home that’s where we used to go snatch some sugar cane for survival. Now, Gaspard Ukwizagira as i stand by help of one a local NGO goes by FMO(Fondazione marcegaglia Onlus) strived and made it to university.
I have completed my highschool with excellent grades and got selected to complete my studies abroad. From dust ,sorrow, struggle i made personal dream to lift young Africans starting with Rwandans who are struggling to get education, with limited resources provided at hand. The quick solution was to ease ways of getting chances which they can’t afford having online due to internet issue. Quest overseases educational was formed as a community to help young ambitious talents without any hope ,aided more than 20 students to reach their dreams of studying abroad with just commitment we had.
Our leaders keeps saying nothing more than political conquer speeches. I believe young talents don’t need huge financial funds to get off the ground. With millions of diaspora community our vision is to bring together this team to serve and volunteer at their best. World of today driven by technology and internet burst can be a tremendous space to reach those we left from our village by helping them where they can’t access and implementing whatever successful countries have developed using our own resources. such creativity, that vigor love for sustainability as per our projection will be accomplished by building a sounding team back home of vibrant individuals.
As i am entering the last year of my bachelors my focus remains to bring value and raise awareness about what education holds and how peace and reconciliation can be enhance as my country(Rwanda) has subdue to genocide of 1994 against Tutsi, and how it’s an epicenter of solving illiteracy, poverty, unemployment and lack of sense of life. There is this book “Never split the difference: negotiation as if you depended on it” by Christopher Voss, Tahl Raz, shed more light around corners of how i can inspire drop outs to get back on track, mend broken families, deal with reconciliation and unlock youth’s talents which are being not used right. labelling, empathy and technical approaches embedded in was another ingredient to three children who decided to come back in class around the end of September. I believe human interaction has faded ,ability of leaders to let their citizens choose and no effort is being paid to deal with such so considered little things which immensely lead to rampage in number of dropouts. Comfort after reaching on throne and power, surrendering all their shepherds to arbitral living has damaged our Africa and the entire world. Under this community we are committed to raise awareness on triggering and empowering our generation mostly ladies who are still underestimated and harassed and believed to be adamant and incapable of making a change on large scope.
The summer of 2008, in our region we all fell apart. from potato to cassava floor. nothing was affordable. The season was bad but a decade has passed without opening wide and learn from that drought and hanger to build reserve and implement new technologies from traditional approach. Our conservative and primitive society needs much readers than leaders. we are promised of building Burj Khalifa’s in our territory though multitude are starving, no access to internet, no scientifical proven ways to mend broken families, no induction treaties towards peace and cooperation. Such vacancy leaves us lagging behind and ending begging for help.
Seeing such a vibrant community of bringing together young individuals to serve the world is better than launching a megaproject to Mars. I like reading goal oriented books of all fields, listening to podcasts, being around activists made me develop much love for betterment of world, a broad heart and truly devotion to stand out in public and speak out , address whoever is sitting without tying our hands together and thrive for our young generation as well as this earth which is being destroyed daily by big fishes. Global peace chain is a such a dream coming true family, i am expecting to learn more from my colleagues and contribute all what quest overseas educational community has milestoned in such few months and be an envoy to those who are not even able to access internet like i did.
