Garikai Muchemwa is a Zimbabwean legal scholar and development practitioner with over 18 years of experience in human rights, governance, and justice reform. He is a PhD (Peace Studies) and LLM (International Law) candidate focusing on detention systems and restorative justice.
His work promotes rehabilitation and reintegration through initiatives such as Phoenix Rising and Conversations in Families. He contributes to policy and academic platforms, bringing Global South perspectives to international human rights discourse. His work has been featured in national media. He is committed to advancing humane, rights-based justice systems.
