My name is Ganiyu Hakeem. I am a young, selfless and passionate young, visionary leader.I was part of the peace mediation team in my country. We had to mediate in a tribal war that lasted for 17 years. We successfully engaged all parties involved and brought a lasting solution to the long lasting tribal war. I have had some other experience to mediate and bring peace within families and communities.I am most passionate about seeing women and children living peacefully and freely in their various homes or countries. I was once a victim of tribal war in 1999 where I saw women separated from their children, families killed and maimed. This really frustrated me so much that I never prayed for any of such thing to happen to anyone or any country.With my vast experience and skills in peace building, I will add value to the peace chain by ensuring that my experience comes to work so that inexperienced people can learn from that. I will also serve as a guide to the new ones also seeking to achieve peace. As part of the mediation team in my region, we are monitoring the two factions that smoked the peace pipe to ensure that there is lasting solution in the region.We making sure that the peace road map is adhered to. The parties involved see me as a leader trying to ensure that there is peace in the land. It takes a person with strong vision and leadership skills to mediate between two parties .
