Gabrielle is currently an undergraduate taking a degree in Political Science with a Masters in Public Management in Ateneo de Manila University. She is a consistent honor student with several leadership awards for her continuous choice to serve others. As a child, she has always been involving herself with projects that aimed to alleviate the lives of others. She has worked in numerous charity events (e.g. Fair) that aims to raise funds for a certain sector. While working on these projects, she realized that age does not matter when sparking a change because as long as you have set your mind, you will be able to do wonders. Currently, she is working on fundraisers to be of assistance to those who were affected by the pandemic. She believes that a simple act of service can go a long way. In the future, she wants to be able to be of more help to more people in the hopes that many more join hands with her in this mission. I have had experience with organizing events that aimed to raise funds for children in order for them to study at better schools. Further pushing for my advocacy of quality education for all children, I’ve been teaching 5th-6th graders Mathematics and English, in the hopes that they too improve their skills. I also have background knowledge in organizational skills that require one to efficiently assemble an entire strategy for a plan and creating systems for organizations like a Code of Internal Procedures. I’ve also joined National Youth Conferences that aimed to educate the youth regarding their voice and what they could do for the world. Here I learned that the youth has so much to say and if we only used our voice more we can create the change that we wish to see. I also enjoy public speaking and having the capability to speak my opinion regarding numerous issues in society. This was furthered when I joined the debate circle, here I was exposed to numerous ideas and I grew more as a person since I not only used my voice but also heard the voices of others. I know that what I’ve been doing may seem small but I know that someday I will be able to greater things for these people.
